Boulder Open Space Conservancy is a non-profit organization that protects, enhances, and preserves Boulder’s natural legacy of open space and mountain parks for all our citizens and visitors, for current and future generations. HISTORY
BOSC was established in 2017 through a public-private partnership with the City of Boulder’s Open Space & Mountain Parks (OSMP) to leverage public resources with private philanthropy to fulfill its mission. Each will bring the shared goal of better fulfilling the charter for OSMP with mutual trust & respect, diverse skills, and strengths. VISION
To protect and preserve Boulder’s greatest asset: our open space, ensuring vibrant and healthy public land and community forever. GOALS TO SUPPORT OSMP
Uphold the City of Boulder Charter purposes. Implement the strategies of the OSMP Master Plan. Reduce historical reliance on sales tax revenue by diversifying revenue streams to benefit OSMP programs. Strive for a fully inclusive environment where all community members are welcome, feel safe, and may enjoy the activities OSMP offers. Plan today for the challenges of tomorrow by creating innovative solutions and undertaking resilience-building activities and technological solutions. Inspire collaboration within the entire community including individuals, business/corporations, educational institutions, and other non-profit organizations to establish a strong and broadening foundation of financial support and resources. Strengthen opportunities for a community-based approach to conservation and program development, leading to stronger, healthier communities, economic vitality, and an enhanced open space visitor experience.

Boulder Open Space Conservancy is the Call2Action partner and co-presenter for the film, Snow Leopard Sisters at BIFF. The film will be showing tomorrow Saturday, April 11th at 10:00am at Grace Commons 1820 15th Street Boulder.

Immediately after the film, join us for a Call2Action "Talk Back" panel for folks who were moved during the film to learn more and/or take action.

Call2Action Panel: Predator/Human conflict poses a serious hurdle to wildlife conservation -- a challenge in Nepal with snow leopards and in the Western U.S. with wolves. On the panel to discuss these issues are:

Dorje Dolma - originally from Dolpo, Nepal, a herder in her youth and the author of "Yak Girl";

Chip Isenhart - of Wild Ranch, supporting livestock producers on the front lines of wolf conflict;

Dave Johnson - supporting Snow Leopard conservation as Director of the Katie Adamson Conservation Fund;

Eric Schmidt - Executive Director of Wildlife Protection Solutions, developing technology to protect endangered species;

Caine Delacy Ph.D. - Just the Wild Expeditions bringing a perspective on human/predator conflict through his work on mountain lions, bears and wolves.
