That’s the reality of managing agitation, confusion, and behavioral shifts in someone with dementia. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It takes patience, creativity, and a whole lot of trial and error.

Sometimes the solution is as simple as adjusting the lighting, changing a routine, or even switching a medication. Other times, it’s about what you don’t do—avoiding overstimulation or stepping back to reduce pressure.

It’s detective work with a whole lot of heart. And while it may feel overwhelming, you’re not in it alone.
