Natya Sadan(USA) students first performance on stage. Though, It is not a dance item, it is an introduction to the beautiful dance art form, "Kuchipudi" as described in the sacred book, "Natyashastram"(also known as Panchama-5th Vedam).

2 Welcome Prayer Dance Description

Natya Sadan, school of Kuchipudi dance, is a registered body in India since 1977. It was founded by Smt. P. Rajeswari, a senior Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, teacher and a distinguished disciple of the Kuchipudi legend, late Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. She has trained more than 300 students in Warangal, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. She also has students in America and Australia.

Her disciple Vaishnavi Akkinepally, from Hyderabad, started her career in Kuchipudi dance at an early age and pursued for 14 years. She has given several performances on various academic and cultural fora at locations across India. Vaishnavi was awarded the coveted scholarship by CCRT, New Delhi. She also pursued the Certificate Course in Kuchipudi dance from P. S. Telugu University,Hyderabad. She was selected by the Department of Culture, New Delhito perform at Ugadi Vedukalu in AP Bhavan and later at Mahabalipuram and Madras cultural festivals. Recently she performed in Sri Annamacharya Anniversary Celebrations at Tirupati organized by the Annamacharya Project, TTD. Her performances at Shilparamam, Hyderabad and Tirupati. Besides performing, she has also trained a number of students in Chandigarh for four years. She did her Ranga Pravesham at Ravindra Bharati, Hyderabad.

Natya Sadan believes in promoting the Indian culture through one of the oldest classical dance form, Kuchipudi.
