Awards for all to finish out the year. As coach said, play other sports but remember to also play some lacrosse.

See you in 2027!

Many of you know that on Monday evening our beloved son and brother Eliot Asher Abramson was critically injured playing the sport he loved the most. A hero firefighter kept Eliot’s heart beating and the amazing surgeons at Harborview have kept him alive. While Eliot’s heart continues to beat, his injuries are too severe for him to survive much longer.

These past few days he has been surrounded constantly by his family and the immense love from friends and this wonderful community in which we live. We have read him every note that was sent or posted, and we have heard and told a lot of “Eliot stories”. We have laughed and cried more than we could have imagined, and we have been held up by all your prayers, love and support.

Eliot got his drivers license a few months back and made the courageous decision to be an organ donor,  a decision we now honor.  We are proud of this decision and the fact that he will be saving many lives.

While Eliot’s time on earth will end way too soon, we are comforted that he will be in heaven with his dad, making him laugh, playing music with his smile lighting up the room. We’re sure he’ll be doing “wall ball” in the sky and rooting for all his friends.

With love,
Jessica, Jeremy, Elyse, Jossalyn, Elan, Micah and Evi 06/06/2026

We are deeply saddened by the news of Eliot’s tragic passing. Though we did not know Eliot personally, our team had the honor of playing against him just weeks ago.

His sudden accident has left a profound loss, yet his generosity lives on through his organ donation—a beautiful continuation of the healing and giving that the Creator’s Game represents.

We send our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and Mercer Island Lacrosse. May the healing power of the Creator’s Game, the support of community, cherished memories, and the knowledge of lives touched through his gift bring you comfort and peace in the difficult days ahead. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.
