Essas fotos foram feitas no ano passado, e olhando hoje eu só consigo pensar em como tudo muda tão rápido. A Emily já está tão diferente, cresceu em detalhes que a gente nem percebe no dia a dia. É por isso que eu acredito tanto em fotografias. Não é sobre parar o tempo. É sobre poder voltar e enxergar coisas que o coração já sentia, mas que a correria deixou passar.

These photos were taken last year, and looking at them today, I can only think about how quickly everything changes. Emily is already so different, growing in little ways we don’t even notice in our everyday lives. That’s why I believe so much in photography. It’s not about stopping time. It’s about being able to go back and see things your heart already felt, but life moved too fast to notice.
