I think chicken would be good substitute especially for those who don’t like seafood. I recommend to put some seasonings on a piece of chicken and cook them in advance.

Squid has a texture very similar to octopus, and gives you great flavor of seafood just like octopus. So it’s going to be great substitute for octopus. Good thing is that it’s usually inexpensive than octopus.
