ALA 2026 was a success! This year, SLIS sponsored MSLIS students and Library Fellows Lilian Kleinberg, Dusty Rader, and Jim Falcone to attend the 2026 ALA Annual Meeting. The Library Fellows traveled to Chicago to represent SLIS, connected with library professionals from across the nation, and participated in key conversations within the LIS field.
“ALA is a prime opportunity to connect with other librarians and get a taste of the current zeitgeist. I got a lot out of panel discussions, poster presentations, and mingling with other attendees,” said Falcone. “I’m very glad I had the opportunity to experience a meeting of the minds on this grand of a scale.”
