For 🌍 Environmental Awareness Day 🌎 , the second day of SASE Science Week, we would like to highlight our upcoming, final community service event of the semester: Cleaning up the Charles! 🌊 ♻️ 🧹
Come volunteer to remove litter along the width of the Charles with us on April 22nd from 10am to 12pm! We will be volunteering alongside over 3,000 other volunteers from the Charles River Conservancy in an effort to clean, maintain, and preserve the Charles River for future generations. More details will be announced in the days approaching the event!
Spots for Cleaning up the Charles are limited and are first-come, first-serve.

For the first day of SASE Science Week,💡Innovation Day💡, we would like to highlight Professor Nathan Phillips and his contributions to the world of urban ecology! 🪵🌲🌳🏭
Nathan has been at BU for nearly 23 years now, and has been researching urban ecology and physiology for over a decade! He is a strong advocator for urban sustainability and making life in cities cleaner and better for future generations.

Thank you all so much for a fantastic Networking Night, and our first in-person Networking Night in two years!
We would like to thank our representatives from Instawork, Amazon, P&G, Broad Institute, and BU Medical School again for coming out and connecting with us! We also hope that everyone who attended learned something new or made a new connection, and had a great time.
Let's hope the next one can be even better than the last!

Introducing the next reps for SASE's Networking Night 2022: Anvitha Sathya and Richard Wu!
Anvitha and Richard are both students and board members of BU Med School's Student Committee on Medical School Affairs (chair and vice chair, respectively). Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is dedicated to the educational, intellectual, professional and personal development of a diverse group of exceptional students, trainees, and faculty who are deeply committed to the study and practice of medicine, to biomedical research, and to public health. Anvitha and Richard are two such students, and as board members of SCOMSA, they also both facilitate open communication between school administration and the student body, as well as directly fund many of the student organizations on its campus.
