Hi, I'm Karen and I served at PD as an intern, senior counselor, and planning team member from 2013 to 2021 (with a break in 2019)! One word I would use to describe my PD experience is "community." Every year, there are so many different combinations of a community whether with the campers, the staff, or even those supporting us where these interactions continue beyond PD. Some of these relationships have led to discipleship, attending the same small group, and serving together in youth ministry!
