We did it! My wife and I finished the 2026 Boston Marathon. It was her 4th Boston Marathon and the 20th Anniversary from her first time running Boston in 2006 with Alli Thompson. She ran her best time yet, breaking 3:20 at 3:19:11!!!

I nearly got sub-3 at 3:00:39. So so close, but completely happy with how good we both did!

Our amazing friend Shelby Osmond crushed it with a PR of 3:12:41 in only her 2nd Marathon!!!! So amazing!

Thanks so much Brandon Osmond for cheering me on a much needed Mile 19! Made me smile so big when I was hurting so bad!

Big Congrats to our REP Athletes! Clayton Young with 11th place and PR of 2:05:41. Michael Ottesen with a killer time of 2:16:06! Kodi Kleven with a PR and 14th place at 2:24:48! Plus a special shout out to our Pro Athlete's best friend, Todd Garner, on his 11th Boston Marathon.

Also, a shout out to Aaron Metler representing Southern Utah and the City of St. George in the Elite category with a time of 2:24:45---that's 5:32 minute miles!

Lots of friends from Utah and from Cedar City.

What a great day!

2023 Boston Marathon!

Well, that hurt. I started the first 7 miles at -/+a few seconds at marathon pace of 6:29 forva 2:50 marathon. I took Huma every 4 miles (4,8,12,18,22*) and alternated Gatorade on odd miles and water on even miles.

I figured that the hills at the end would put me closer to a 2:55. So, I decided to pull back to the 6:40s to save myself for the hills from miles 16-21, then book it at 6:30s the last 5 miles.

At 22, I started pushing it a bit on the downhill, but the turnover was slow, and I was at 7:15ish. At 23, I took it to a 7ish, but I could tell something was not clicking. I felt sluggish. At this point, I was also very wet and starting to get cold. Then the rain poured! I was soaked!

Then, at 24, it all blew up. I was freezing and started wobbling like those dudes in the youtube videos. I told myself, "No walking." At one point, I caved and took a couple of brief walking steps, but I knew right away that I would pass out, so I kept running right away. I kept trying to kick it, but I kept getting slower and slower. 25 was 8ish, and 26 was almost 9.

I told myself, "Just BQ at Boston. You have enough to do that." I was in a fog. End time was 3:08:33.

I've BQ'd in all four of my marathons now. Plus, I got my medal, and that's all that mattered, lol!
