We're honored to be the designers for and LGBTQ Senior Housing Inc. for this historic project.

After many years of work alongside , our partner LGBTQ Senior Housing Inc, the , and the Office of Housing, The Pryde broke ground on Friday just in time for . The Pryde will provide 74 housing units in an inclusive -friendly affordable senior housing community located in Hyde Park in the historic William Barton Rogers School. It’s important to create a mixed-income community where the older LGBTQ population can feel welcome, safe, and accepted. Congratulations to everyone who worked so diligently to get to this important milestone!

We are honored that 2Life Communities Administrative Offices has been awarded an IDEAS2 Award by the American Institute of Steel Construction. The project presented challenges, both programmatic and structural, that encouraged a strong collaboration between all parties involved. Thank you to Odeh Engineers who we worked with to discover an outside the box structural solution; 2Life and our design team who embraced the large steel trusses and turned them into a physical reflection of their culture of transparency and collaboration; and to Dellbrook JKS who brought the vision to life with their skilled construction team.

In this season of giving, we have donated to to assist our neighbors and community members experiencing food insecurity. The demand for healthy food remains high; we encourage anyone who can make a donation to the food bank as well. Together, we can help end hunger in Eastern Massachusetts.

Philippe Saad has been named a 2021 Design Champion by , for his work to actively push senior living design forward. His efforts to break down stigmas of senior living communities and to promote inclusivity in design, have led to groundbreaking work in the field on projects such as The Pryde, Boston's first LGBTQ-friendly senior housing, and The Baldwin - a life plan community in New Hampshire. Construction will begin on both projects in early 2022.

Sustainable design is inherent to our practice, and we are proud of the recent recognition for two of our projects. Our new office and lab building at 101 Cambridgepark Drive has received a Fitwell 1 Star Rating. This certification, a first for our firm, demonstrates our commitment to the health and well-being of its occupants. Second, our recently completed Vassar Street Residence Hall at MIT has received LEED Platinum certification. The project was done in collaboration with .

On this , we are excited to announce that we will be working with Pennrose Companies and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on the redevelopment of the Chelsea Soldiers' Home. The reuse of the nine buildings on campus will include 248 units of housing for veterans. More importantly, it will keep veterans and their needs at the center of the redevelopment; create a resource center for veteran services, learning, and recreation; celebrate and retain the historic architecture that connects the campus to Massachusetts' centuries of military history. We are also extremely proud to be working with a diverse group of Veteran, Minority, and Women owned businesses for this project.
