Had the best time volunteering at the grand opening of the Monday Indian Lunch at The Cooper Center for Active Living in Newton! 🎉🍛

This event was organized by FISCO — Friends of the Indian Senior Citizens Organization — and if you haven’t heard of them, they are doing incredible work building community and connection for older adults across Massachusetts.

As someone who volunteers with seniors in Newton, events like this are close to my heart. Good food, great people, and a reminder of why this community is so special.

If you’re 55+ or know someone who is — or if you just want to give back and connect with older adults in Newton — The Cooper Center has something for everyone.

Week 1 of FastCAP with eXp University — done. ✅

This week we talked a lot about Atomic Habits by James Clear. The idea that stayed with me most: you don’t rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.

In real estate, that means starting simple. Talk to people. Find out what they need. Show up for them consistently. That’s it.

My brand has always been built on one belief — it’s being aligned with your true purpose and being who you are as a human being.

I am dedicated and committed to providing the best service I can, for what you need. Real estate or otherwise.

That starts with me listening. Really listening. And connecting. Talking to you as a real human being, being helpful, learning and solely driven by the purpose of adding value.

If you want to connect, send me a message.

Not the PR girl from Kolkata.
Not yet who I’m becoming in Newton.
Just in it.
The PhD. The kitchen. The stars. The starting over.
Fifty years of becoming finally making sense.
If you know, you know. 🙏
The in between is sacred.

The federal government just changed a tax rule that affects every homeowner in America.

The National Association of REALTORS® broke it down and I want to make sure you know about it.

If you own a home — you can now write off up to $40,000 in state and local taxes. That is 4 times more than before.

If you are thinking of buying — owning just became even more financially rewarding.

This is nationwide but hits especially hard in Greater Boston where property taxes are already high.

This runs through 2029. Good time to pay attention.

This is why I love living in Newton.

It’s not just the schools or the location. It’s women run cute fashion boutiques like Foxes. There’s an European flair, unique, fun and stylish at the same time.

The clothes are a mix of trendy, classy and very unique, bold statement jewelry and stylish handbags.

If you have an hour or so to spare for retail therapy or just browsing, check them out! You will walk out with a piece or two 🛍️😊

Some mornings this job takes you somewhere unexpected. 🌿
A fellow agent on my team needed someone to hold an open house — and I said yes. Not because it was close (it was a good 35 minutes from Newton), not because I knew the town. But because that’s what you do when you’re part of a team.

What I didn’t expect was the nature reserve right around the corner. Or the morning light. Or the conversations.

There’s something about chatting with strangers who are trying to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives — hearing the questions and concerns they have in mind. You learn so much just by showing up and listening.

There were no deals to be made. I came home with a fuller picture of what real people have on their minds about real estate.

Some days that’s the best part. ☀️

Got my hair done today at My Salon on 150 California St, in Newton run by the sweetest woman, Julia. She made me coffee, served it in a beautiful cup, and we just… talked.

About the changing times, values of life, our town, parenting, hair care and a million other things.

We don’t do this enough. We’re all so busy, heads down, moving from one thing to the next. But there is something so simple and so powerful about just stopping, looking someone in the eye, and actually connecting.

Julia is a wonderful human and amazing stylist. If you want to get a haircut or your hair done, you know where to find her!

Was at the eXp Regional Rally yesterday! Such an inspirational high energy event for building connections and learning how to grow in this fast paced, ever changing real estate industry.

The last session by the magnetic real estate coach Elias Astuto got me thinking.

What is my why for coming into the real estate world at 50?

I had told myself it’s the flexibility, coming back to the work force now that my son is older. Earning my own money.

Those are half truths. There is something much deeper.

There is a girl who grew up invisible — in a normal home, good school yes, but in a world where her thoughts didn’t carry weight and her dreams weren’t considered appropriate. She learned to shut them off.

When she turned 50, something shifted. In astrology it’s called the Chiron Return — the time of the wounded healer, the rebirth. And she decided: it’s time to show up.

Fully. As herself.

I have spent a lifetime listening to people, solving problems, and never making it about me. A PhD taught me to research deeply. Ten years as a stay-at-home mom taught me what home truly means to a family. Reinventing myself to adjust to every curveball life throws at me and the resolve to get through every situation by constantly learning new skills is what has unknowingly prepared me to strive to be my best as a human being.

All my life experiences have made decide to coming out of hibernation, show up for people, hustle, do my best, to help others in their biggest financial decisions and emotional crossroads of life.

I don’t sell products I find a value for my service.

So my biggest why?

I want to create value for myself, with the thing I connect with most, homes and people that make a house become a home.

DM me if you want to connect.
