As the Fourth of July weekend begins, we reflect back to Launch Day and the start of our nation's 250th anniversary year. Then and now, our young leaders shared their vision for a Revolution of Love.

Our is Saturday's Summer Regional Service led by the mighty team from Region 2! Their mission's dual purpose is described by ALC and exemplary senior Keegan Butler:

"Regional Service is at the heart of 351. On Saturday, we united to foster respect, honor, and support across the generations from our small towns."

Our service at the Westhampton Cemetery began with an Inspirational history lesson from caretaker Patrick Rondeau and Cemetery Commission Chair John Shaw. Together, we helped restore and beautify the grave sites of Revolutionary War veterans, including Johnathon Clark and John Fish. It was a privilege to honor veterans in our nation's 250th year and give thanks for the liberty and freedoms they courageously ensure.

The afternoon was dedicated to Empty Arms Bereavement Support, which provides compassionate care for families and individuals who have experienced the loss of a child. We gathered at Westhampton Library to make friendship bracelets and aromatherapy rollers for Empty Arms care kits.

Today was about uplifting our local community. Region 2 proudly represents small towns and understands the impact of every act of service. Whether physically lifting graves of veterans who passed long ago, or supporting parents who recently lost their child, our Region 2 family was moved and honored to serve."

Today is Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom that compels reflection on a fuller understanding of history. To open our hearts and minds to an important chapter in our nation's journey toward a more perfect union. And, to listen, learn, and rededicate ourselves as bridge builders, change makers, and upstanders.

We hope today's Juneteenth celebrations are filled with meaning and joy!
