5 Things You Might Not Know About Me...

1️⃣ I took three years off between high school and college. During that time, I lived in Israel, studied at Hebrew University, worked on a kibbutz in the south, returned to Canada to work at the Jewish Federation in Ottawa, and spent a year as an assistant teacher in a school for students with diverse learning needs. It was a non-traditional path — and one that deeply shaped who I am.

2️⃣ Before launching my business, my entire career was in the nonprofit world. While events were always central to my work, I also focused on fundraising, communications, and marketing. I believe events are powerful tools for connection — when done right, every detail should reflect your organization’s mission and values. A great event is storytelling in motion.

3️⃣ One summer, I opened a day camp in Greater Boston from the ground up. Ramah Day Camp Boston was a labor of love, and I’m still so proud to have played a role in its founding — and even prouder to watch it continue to thrive.

4️⃣ I’m Canadian 🇨🇦 and have now lived in the U.S. for nearly 16 years — all but 10 months of that in Greater Boston. My accent has mostly faded... besides a few "eh's" here and there, but my love of maple syrup and all dressed chips, not so much.

5️⃣ When I started my business, many people thought it was a "hobby project" — something to keep me busy. Fast forward to today: a growing team, six-figure revenue, and a reputation I’ve worked hard to earn. And yet, I still find myself explaining that this isn’t a side gig — it’s a full-time (plus-plus!) business. I love what I do, and it’s so much more than a passion — it’s a profession.
