Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Massachusetts State Trooper Kevin Trainor.

Massachusetts State Trooper Kevin Trainor was tragically killed in Lynnfield after responding to a wrong-way driver call. At the end of his shift and on his way home, Kevin chose to answer one more call for help. He leaves behind his fiancée, mother, siblings, and fellow Troopers.

April 12, 1948 … A Mattapan to Egleston Square street trolley traveling down Seaver Street into Columbus Avenue lost control, jumped the tracks, and crashed inside the Egleston Square T Station.
Engine 42 and Ladder 30 were first on the scene.
Rescue 2, under the command of Lt. Freiberg, also responded. The transit motorman survived, but suffered severe injuries that resulted in both of his legs being amputated.
