showed up tonight, and I’m so grateful.

I walked 1.3 miles through Back Bay with three incredible guides by my side. It took just over an hour, and not once did anyone rush me or make me feel like I was holding them back.

They met me exactly where I was. They stayed with me, encouraged me, and made me feel supported every step of the way.

That kind of community means everything.

Tonight reminded me that movement doesn’t have to look a certain way to matter. It still counts. I still count.

I’m already looking forward to the next workout.

The Reeve Summit was an opportunity to connect with others living with spinal cord injuries, grounded in the legacy of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and its mission to advance research and improve quality of life.

Hearing others share their lived experiences brought a deep sense of connection. Their honesty about deeply personal daily challenges, especially around bowel and bladder care, and the resilience it takes to manage them with dignity reflected so much of my own journey.

The reminded me that even in the hardest moments, we are not alone. There is power in being alongside others who simply get it. And beyond the challenges, there was so much light. People carried contagious smiles that reflected a shared strength and a belief in what is still possible.

For me, this is more than connection. It is personal. I carry Jackson with me in every space I enter. Experiences like this remind me that even in the midst of loss, I am still here. I am still connected. I am still moving forward with purpose and with love. And I will always carry him with me as I do.

Bereaved Mother’s Day is for mothers like me, loving a child we cannot hold. From SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, I honor Jackson, my grief, and the resilience that keeps me here. I carry Jackson with love and I am still here by strength. I move forward with purpose toward what is still ahead.

Happy 40th birthday to my adopted younger sister. From the memories we share as kids and adults to your constant thoughtfulness and check-ins, you have such a special place in my life. I love you.
