Union County is the key to holding the district for Tom Malinowski. Hit the pavement with fellow volunteers from Swing Left NYC this Saturday and help put Tom over the top!

Swing Left’s superpower is winning these kinds of close races! This year, NJ-07 is rated R+2, and Tom is running against Tom Kean, Jr. again; every voter we talk to will be critical, and every door we knock on will count!

We’ll be canvassing 35 minutes from Penn Station, via NJ Transit. We’ll send everyone who signs up directions on where to meet, so don’t worry if this is your first time going to New Jersey to canvass. Tom’s campaign will provide any training and transportation needed once we arrive at Rahway Station. Tickets to Rahway are $9.25, one way or, if you’re a Senior it’s $4.35, one way! If you’d rather drive, just meet us at the Rahway NJ Transit Station at 1pm.

He’ll be joined by some special guests that afternoon to rally and celebrate the energy we are generating to GOTV and win NJ-07 for Tom. Bring friends who haven't heard the Congressman speak. Come early to canvass before the rally and help him reach voters in Rahway!

Swing Left and Vote Blue 2022 are sending canvassing buses to districts within a 100-mile radius of New York City starting this week! No prior experience is necessary—volunteers are trained on the bus, often with additional training at the campaign field offices. We cover everything, including your lunch! Don’t know where to go or what to do? Swing Left does! Multiple groups will be joining these ongoing, Greyhound, bus rides every Saturday.

Our first bus will be traveling to a competitive and crucial district in PENNSYLVANIA! PA allows our canvassing to help multiple campaigns with important Governor, Senate, and local races at the same time.

Anyone is welcome to get on the bus—we’re looking for a $10 voluntary contribution from bus riders, but we can waive the fee due to need. We’re also asking organizations and individuals to help sustain this effort by becoming sponsoring angels. Let us know if you want to be a sponsor!

The bus will leave THIS Saturday and EVERY Saturday at 8am, from Union Square, NYC, and it will take you right where you are REALLY NEEDED every week!!! Don’t think, just go to Union Square, on time (with snacks and some water), and Let Swing Left take you canvassing.

Bus to Defend Democracy Sept 17 · Swing Left Join us to defend Democratic majorities in Congress! Swing Left and Vote Blue 2022 will be sending canvassing buses to districts within a 100-mile radius of New York City. No prior experience is needed—volunteers are trained on the bus, often with additional training at the campaign field offices....

After two years of restrictions on in-person voter contact, Swing Left NYC is finally going back to our activist roots by canvassing, door-to-door, for Tom Malinowski in NJ-07. Our very first canvass, in April of 2017, was in this district. Still reeling from the outcome of the 2016 election, we went door-to-door, talking and listening to voters. And we kept going back to both NJ-05 and NJ-07, doing the patient work of contacting voters, again and again, to make sure they came out to vote in November of 2018 and turn the House Blue.

And we did it! It was a wonderful victory in the middle of four very bad years. Tom won by 5%, and was part of a Blue Wave which gave Democrats the power to challenge the Republicans in their headlong rush towards authoritarianism. Tom won again in 2020, by a much narrower margin, 1.2%, beating Tom Kean, Jr to help give Democrats unified control of the government.

As we’re sure you know, redistricting has given Tom the short end of the stick this year. NJ-07 is now rated R+2, and Tom is running against Tom Kean, Jr. again. This cycle NJ-07 is the kind of close district in which Swing Left specializes. It’s a race where every voter we talk to will be critical, and every door we knock on will count. Swing Left’s superpower is winning these kind of close races, where our volunteer power turns out voters on election day!

On Saturday, July 9th, from 2:00-5:00 pm, we’ll be canvassing in Fanwood, which is about an hour from Penn Station via NJ Transit. We’ll send everyone who signs up directions on where to meet, so don’t worry if this is your first time going to New Jersey to canvass. Tom’s campaign will provide training for us, and any necessary transportation from Fanwood Station. If you’d rather drive, just just meet us at the Fanwood NJ Transit Station at 2pm.
