As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, this week we're taking a look at several Nitsch projects that thoughtfully interpret and preserve American history.

As the home of our first President, Mount Vernon is one of the nation’s most visited historic sites. Visitors learn about the life and legacy of George Washington on 500 acres of preserved land. We’re proud to be currently working with the Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects team on the estate-wide landscape plan, providing civil engineering and stormwater management services.

Celebrating 10 years of Nitsch Engineering’s Washington, D.C. office!

Our work in the Mid-Atlantic began well before 2016, from early partnerships with the University of Virginia in 2000, to designing sustainable systems at Canal Park in 2009 and collaborating with DC Water on streetscape green infrastructure beginning in 2013.

Expanding our presence to D.C. marked an important step in strengthening those relationships and expanding our impact across the region. That momentum continues today with the recent opening of our Richmond, VA office, further demonstrating our commitment to serving our clients and communities across the Mid-Atlantic.
