At Breaktime, this day holds deep significance because Black independence and economic mobility are inherently interconnected. The lasting legacy of systemic racism and discrimination directly contributes to the disproportionate number of young Black people experiencing homelessness today.
To honor the history, resilience, and joy of this day, our staff came together for a celebration filled with incredible food, drinks, games, and meaningful reflection.
