The MS in Medical Sciences degree at Boston University School of Medicine is a special Master's program that aims to improve the competitiveness of our students for medical school. Since it began in 1985, MAMS has selectively identified students who are both driven and dedicated to pursuing a career in medicine. In August, 2022, the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine introduced PISCEs (Principles Integrating Science, Clinical Medicine and Equity) as a cornerstone of the M1 and M2 curriculum. Students learn from and with each other in Team Based Learning and other application sessions.

“Achieving a competitive score on the MCAT is 35% content and 65% strategy” says M**S alum and master MCAT instructor Amanda Brem of The Brem Method. For the past 4 years, Amanda has helped many M**S students significantly improve their scores through an 8-part workshop that runs throughout the first year in the program.
