Can someone please tell me who you're supposed to call when a neighbor completely gives up on their yard?! This has gone way beyond “it's a little overgrown.” The grass is out of control, the shrubs have completely taken over, and you can barely even see parts of the house anymore. At this point, it honestly looks abandoned. How does someone look at this every single day and think, “Yep… looks perfectly fine.” Do HOA rules just stop existing when people decide they don't feel like mowing anymore? Because if this were my property, I'd probably have a notice on my door within 24 hours. I'm genuinely asking… who do you even report something like this to? The HOA? Code enforcement? Someone has to be responsible because this is getting ridiculous. Take care of your property. The entire neighborhood shouldn't have to stare at a jungle because one person refuses to pick up a lawn mower.

To say my house is overwhelming is an understatement! I've read books, articles, and blogs - you name it! I've finally gotten started, section by room; I'm gonna get there! 6 boxes full of “stuff” were donated today!! 4 bags of garbage went out yesterday. I'm tired, but I'm on the way!

Ever look at something for so long you just don't know where to start? Our metal awning has adorned the front of our home since we moved in (originally white, I painted it black 15 years ago). Most of my neighbors, who have similar-style Cape Cod homes, have removed theirs, but those who have complain of rain and snow in their mailbox, heat in their front door, etc. However, between the boxwood moth destroying our landscape and our now crumbling front porch, I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. Could I really use your ideas and inspiration, as this forum is so incredibly helpful and offers such great ideas and photos. We love our charming home, neighbors, and neighborhood.

I went to a local estate sale on my lunch break today with no intention of buying anything larger than what can fit in my SUV, but I saw this and the lady said, 'You look like you're supposed to be the next owner of this!'... and then I paid for it... how much, you ask? $40!!! My husband is just going to be thrilled when he wakes up to find out we have to go pick up another piece of furniture 🤣🥰
