The waterfront is both a lively destination for cultural and recreational offerings and a robust center of maritime economic activities. Our people and places are prepared for a rising sea, living with it where possible, protecting or retreating where necessary.

Congratulations to Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Interim Transportation Secretary and MBTA General Manager Phillip Eng, and the whole team at MassDOT and the MBTA on launching the new Harbor Loop Ferry.

The F10 route started running June 29, connecting North Station, the Aquarium, the Seaport, and Logan Airport for the price of a subway ride:

• $2.40 full fare, $1.10 reduced fare
• Weekday service, timed to rush hour
• Four of Boston's key gateways, one boat ride apart.

This is the kind of investment Boston Harbor Now has been calling for since 2019, when our Inner Harbor Connector Business Plan (developed with MassDOT, Massport, the National Park Service, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority, and the Seaport Economic Council of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development) laid out the case for fast, affordable ferry service linking Boston's waterfront neighborhoods.
