Now on view: Gardens by Lamees Rahman 🌷🌳

This immersive ART SCRIM is built from thousands of fragments, colors, textures, prints, and patterns assembled into vibrant, layered landscapes. Drawing from Bangladeshi woodblock printing, monotype techniques, and digital processes, the work creates imagined ecosystems filled with movement, energy, and discovery.

Lamees Rahman is a Bangladeshi interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersection of printmaking and new media through abstraction. Her work invites viewers to experience color, texture, and form intuitively, creating moments of curiosity and wonder.

🗞️✨ This volume of Art in Print includes a special collaboration with guest curator Meg Rotzel, who selected Shaina Lu’s print for its joyful spirit and commitment to community action.

Shaina’s print draws inspiration from dragon dance traditions found throughout Asia and Chinatowns around the world. For Shaina, the dragon’s pursuit of the pearl and the collective effort required to bring it to life become a reflection on working together toward liberation.

Meg selected Shaina’s work for its joyful spirit and commitment to community action, noting that she was drawn to “her focus on justice and liberation, especially if it involves food and neighborhood action.”

Shaina Lu is a q***r Taiwanese-American artist, educator, and activist whose work centers community, dialogue, and social change.
