Animal Rights Initiative
Our group is in the street and fighting for legislative change. We believe it is necessary to do both to fully eradicate socially accepted atrocities against animals. For our street activism, we believe that working together with other groups around the world will help us attain our goals much faster. We initiate our own, and participate in other groups campaign ideas where we can make an impact.

Hello- We only have until TUESDAY THE 17TH to receive votes this year in the WA House of Representatives on bills to prohibit farmed octopus sales and to prohibit sales and production of force-fed bird items!! See below for an easy action item to get that vote, if you haven't done yet:
Two bills in Washington that ARI, got introduced-HB 1608- to prohibit farmed octopus sales and SHB 1735- to prohibit sales/production of force-fed bird products- have advanced to the House Rules Committee and await passage there, then onto a full vote of the WA House of Reps! Thank you so much to everyone who has assisted in these advancements.
Below, if you haven't completed, you can find an easy action to tell the House Rules Committee to pass HB 1608 and SHB 1735 to a full vote of the WA House of Representatives. Thank you for your help!!

Hey Everyone!-
HB 1735- Animal Rights Initiative's bill in Washington to prohibit the sale and farming of force-fed bird products (such as foie gras)- has a vote scheduled on Wednesday morning in the House AGNR Committee! We are very excited and could use Washingtonians' support to get this compassionate legislation out of committee and on the path to a possible vote of the full WA House of Representatives.
