Seed Global Health

We’re working alongside the Ministry of Health Zambia to translate the country’s National Health Compact commitments into a coordinated roadmap for 2026–2030.

As founding members of the World Bank Health Works Leaders Coalition, we are supporting the implementation of National Health Compacts and this follows our recent roundtable during WHA79 to discuss what it will take to move from commitment to implementation.

At the consultative meeting in Zambia, our Country Director, Dr. Chikusela Sikazwe, Clinical and Education Advisor, Dr. Ameck Kamanga, and Policy Advisor Kutha Banda, joined partners to advance the implementation plan and turn Zambia’s commitments made in Tokyo in December 2025 into action.

We are focused on strengthen health system planning and accountability, fully operationalizing the “One Plan, One Budget, One Report” approach, and supporting Zambia’s ambitious goal of recruiting 74,000 new health workers.

Achieving these targets will require sustained collaboration, strategic investment, and strong implementation. We are proud to support the Ministry of Health as it works to build a larger, stronger, and more sustainable health workforce for the future.
