Still looking for a few new clients; publishers large and small, indy authors included. There's a contact form at the site, and there's a contact button above; both route to the same email address.

Please feel free to contact me.

I did the typography and some minor surgery / processing on the underlying painting to make this for Yaroslav Barsukov.

The author was another great client who understood what he wanted in a cover, and helped me create it for him.

This is another example of an Audible cover conversion, where I did the ebook and print wraparound.

Creating a consistent brand for a series of thrillers was a challenging and fun part of this commission for my friend Ed McFadden, a great writer and publisher who knows exactly what he wants, and what works, in a cover.

I wish I had a dozen clients like him.

I love how this came out. I did the e-book and POD cover as well, but making this work in the square aspect ratio took some doing, and turned out to be the best of the three compositions!

The second Dilvish the Damned book...

Very happy with how these, my last two Roger Zelazny covers came out. Thanks to Warren Lapine, again, for hiring me to help keep these great titles in print.

I'm collaborating with other artists now to design and produce covers that don't use royalty free stock art as a source material; this guarantees a totally custom cover. It costs more, but it can be worth it depending on the title.

My friends in big-five (is it four yet?) publishing tell me that a heavy design pass (the kind I do) on top of royalty free stock is being used by the biggest publishers in the business, on everything but their biggest bets. So people should feel good about buying my work made that way, too. It's still professional.

Finally, if you have found--and licensed!--your own image, I can do typography, branding, correction, retouching, ebook and print on demand book creation at an affordable rate; this is more DIY, you find the image, but I make it work as a book cover.

TIP: If a piece of art works well as a standalone... it's kinda hard to make it into a cover. You want a pro. Balancing the focal points in the image with the cover content. Avoiding ugly crop points. Handling color and luminance issues to make the type read, etc.

The Finished Amber Ebook Series!!!!

I'm proud of this work, and the consistency of the brand across 10 titles.

I'm looking for a few new clients with slots available in the next few weeks. Drop me a message for a free initial consultation.
