Through the combined skills and vision of its members, MASSCAP works to enhance the ability of each agency to better serve its clients. We work with the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development and other state agencies to open doors to self-sufficiency for low-income Massachusetts residents.

Did you know that Community Action Agencies in MA remained strong and operational during the federal government shutdown, continuing to be creative and innovative in meeting emerging needs - in part due to Community Action line item 7002-0025? We urge MA Senate to include $5M for this line item in the FY27 budget.

Did you know that Community Action in MA helped +70,000 with emergency food support last year? In part due to the CAA line item 7002-0025, CAAs were able to lean into food support and programming. We kindly request the MA Senate to include $5M for this line item in the FY27 budget.
