The BTR-80 is a Soviet Union-designed 8×8 wheeled armored personnel carrier. Production began in 1986, to replace the previous versions, namely the BTR-60 and BTR-70. The Soviets designed the BTR-80 based on the BTR-70. This vehicle uses a 260-hp turbo V-8 diesel engine.
