⚠️ Hiii! Updates ahead! ⚠️
Once again in typical fashion, I did not realize how much time had passed since my last post.
I would love to update with some big news like a fully completed build, but we aren't there yet. A little while ago, my day job threw a curveball at me and outsourced my job. After about 6 years at the company, I'm on extended stay, training the new employees until the end of the year. This sparked a bit of a self-reflection period. I'm not quite sure where I want to go next career-wise. I'd love to make my silly little builds and crafts for a living, but that's a bit of a stretch right now.

I am plotting some smaller projects, a shop, and kicking around the idea of getting back into video-editing. I may even open up some editing slots to shake the dust off and build up a portfolio. So if anyone has cosplay footage and wants a small edit, keep your eyes peeled for updates.

This isn't a pause on builds, I still intend on keeping up my usual [snail] pace as it simultaneously keeps me sane/insane.

I'm also super stoked to say I FINALLY got Halloween costumes nailed down for this year, while it's not as big of an undertaking as Flatwoods Monster and Mothman, I'm really excited for the photoshoot. 👀

I'm also wrasslin' the ungodly urge to cut off all my hair, someone talk me out of it. I'm scared of looking like someone's mother instead of ✨Mother✨

Happy 2024! I've learned nothing and have a bunch of lofty cosplay plans that'd I'm foaming at the mouth to get started on. Mecha Miku is about to enter the sealing and painting phase with some minor coding issues to fix up. I'll be posting an update on that soon, once I get the chance to snap a few good photos.

Anyway! Here's a silly test picture from when I was setting up the Halloween photoshoot. The hat was so big that it covered up my contacts and makeup. I learned that sewing velvet (facemask and big sleeves) is the worst, I'm still finding little fuzzies everywhere.

Throwback to my first [almost full] fit test for Kaneki!

This cosplay definitely took a backseat once it was finished. I'm still super proud of how the kagune turned out, especially with the leds going!

I hopped into the Miku armor build around the same time I was wrapping this one up. So it didn't quite get the time for pictures, silly videos etc. Tokyo Ghoul is still very near and dear to me, someday I'll give this sad lad a proper photoshoot!
