Arnoldia

Common smoketree (Cotinus coggyria) greeting the dawn. This tree with its rosy blooms came to the Arnold from a 1980 expedition to Russia; its neighbor, a vast, labyrinthine smoketree with hazy green blossoms, moved here from the Harvard Botanical Garden in Cambridge when the Arnold was founded in 1876.
