Austin is a small boy with a heart and strength far beyond his age 💙.
After more than 83 infusions, endless medications, and pain no child should ever have to face, he still meets each day with bravery, laughter, and a smile that lifts everyone around him.

Recently honored as a Rise Hero, Austin was surrounded by moments of love — music, prayers, and quiet acts of kindness — all reminding him that he’s not fighting alone. The recognition wasn’t just for what he’s been through, but for how he faces it: with courage, faith, and an unbreakable spirit.

Now, as he prepares for critical scans on October 14 and looks ahead to starting 3rd grade, Austin continues his journey with determination and hope, one step at a time.

This is more than a story about sickness.
It’s a story about resilience, belief, and a child who refuses to stop fighting ✨

For years, I carried a truth everyone could see — except me 😶‍🌫️
The growth on my nose slowly became more than a physical change; it took over my reflection, my confidence, and my life 🪞

People stared. Conversations shifted. I stopped meeting eyes and learned how to hide behind practiced smiles 👀🙂💔
I laughed when it hurt. I stayed quiet when I wanted to speak 🤐
Avoidance became my survival.

But there comes a moment when hiding is no longer an option 🚪
When facing the fear feels less painful than living with it.

The day of surgery wasn’t just about medicine — it was a turning point, a line drawn between who I had been and who I was finally ready to become ⚖️

I had never seen him before that day. While walking down the street, something made me stop — a body lying far too still to be ignored ❄️. At first, I assumed he was sleeping, but as I drew closer, I realized every second mattered ⏳.

He couldn’t speak. His breaths were shallow, his skin almost colorless. I don’t know why I didn’t just keep walking 🚑 — but something about him held me there.

I stayed until the ambulance arrived. Sitting beside him, I noticed small details that felt unsettling: an old injury, threadbare clothes, and a folded piece of paper in his pocket with an unfinished message 📝. From that moment on, nothing felt ordinary anymore.

A few days later, I saw him again in the hospital. He still hadn’t found his voice, but his life had been saved ❤️. Doctors said he’d been found just in time.

Now he’s recovered. His hair is cropped short, a scar traces his face, but his eyes are full of life. His story remains unfinished 🔒.
