Sarah Moriarty, SLPD class of 2025, recently achieved two impressive milestones.

Last month she presented at the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) 2024 Annual Reading, Literacy, and Learning Conference. Her presentation, entitled "Supporting Mental Health in Children and Adolescents with Dyslexia," was related to her Capstone project on the same topic and highlighted the issues surrounding mental health in young people with dyslexia that are often not identified or addressed during dyslexia treatment.

Earlier this year she also completed the requirements to earn the designation of Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), a subsidiary of the International Dyslexia Association. This certification will assist her in her current position at a clinic specializing in literacy disorders.

We're so proud of our students for disseminating their impressive work and continuing to grow in their professional lives. Congratulations, Sarah!
