A Celebration of Freedom Juneteenth, observed on June 19, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were informed of their freedom—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
It’s a reminder of resilience, liberation, and the power of unity in the Black community. Today, Juneteenth is not only a time to reflect, but also a call to reclaim our wellness, our worth, and our joy.
