Dear Friends,

THANK YOU. Three months ago, we started this campaign with no money, no organization, and months behind the other candidates in the field. You all rallied quickly and then continued to show up all summer with your skills, resources, and enthusiasm right down to the last vote being cast at 8 PM Tuesday. I am incredibly grateful for every sacrifice you made to support my run.

We didn't quite make it into the final round, but we came really, really close. I am humbled by every one of the 1,151 people who put their faith in me with their vote. I am grateful for every resident who took time to share their stories and ask their questions and, through those conversations, helped me get smarter and gain a deeper understanding of the beautiful, challenging, and varied lives being lived across District Three.

The people of District Three deserve a fresh start. We deserve great schools, good jobs, an affordable place to live in a safe neighborhood, transit that works, and a greener future. We can still build that District Three together every day. I encourage you to work to eliminate "the secret knock" anytime and anywhere you see it, so that EVERY resident of Boston has access to all the resources and opportunities in our great city.

Again, thank you for all of your love and support. We can be proud of what we just did together.
