Spaulding Rehabilitation
At age 62, Posie Mansfield experienced two huge losses within a month. Immediately after the death of her beloved husband, John, she battled an infection from knee replacement surgery, ultimately needing an above-knee amputation.
“I didn’t know what my life would look like after that,” Posie says. She came to Spaulding Rehabilitation for outpatient therapy to get used to her new prosthesis. What she found was a compassionate team and a path back to living her life.

Members of the Spaulding Rehabilitation community show their care and commitment in so many ways. Today, we’re announcing another opportunity to make an impact: participating in Spaulding Day of Giving, a special fundraising effort to support our mission and patients.
Donations help cover important patient support programs, provide meaningful continuing education for clinicians and allow our researchers to pursue promising new ideas—all with the goal of helping people reclaim their lives after injury or illness.
Now through June 2nd, your donation will be DOUBLED, thanks to a $25,000 matching challenge from our friends at the Arbella Insurance Foundation. With your support, Spaulding will continue to advance our mission to bring patients and families strength and hope.
