Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the generations of Black Americans who pushed our country to live up to its ideals.

It’s also a reminder that progress doesn’t just happen. It happens because people speak out, organize, vote, lead, and refuse to accept injustice.

Today, we celebrate how far we’ve come, honor those who made that progress possible, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead.

Today, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts officially recognizes June 18th, henceforth, as World Cup Fans Appreciation Day!

While this honor belongs to supporters from around the world, there is NO DOUBT that it was the Tartan Army that helped inspire it!

Over the last week, Scotland’s fans didn’t just visit Boston, they embraced it! They filled our streets, pubs, and neighborhoods with music, laughter, kindness, and a sense of community that reminded us what this tournament is truly about. Bringing people together and reminding us that we are all far more alike than we are different! They sang with strangers, made lifelong friends wherever they went, and left an impression that will be remembered long after they leave.

Boston welcomed Scotland with open arms, and Scotland gave that love right back! Thank you to the Tartan Army for bringing pure joy to our city and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. What started as a football tournament became something much bigger, and for Americans, it became a celebration of friendship, culture, and the connections we will remember for decades to come.

We needed this. The world needed this.

We’ll never forget you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️
