North County R-1 FBLA
05/14/2026
We are thrilled to announce that Emma LaBrot has earned first place in the Marketing category at the State Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition. This remarkable achievement qualifies her to represent North County R-1 at the prestigious FBLA National Leadership Conference (NLC), which will take place in San Antonio, Texas, from June 28 to July 2.
The NLC is a highly competitive event that gathers the best student leaders from across the nation. Emma’s success at the state level is a testament to her hard work, determination, and exceptional talent in marketing over the past 4 years of competition.
However, attending the national conference involves considerable expenses, including airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, registration fees, and meals. The total estimated cost for Emma’s participation is approximately $2500 to $3000. As the conference dates are rapidly approaching, we are seeking financial support from our school community, local businesses, and alumni to help cover these costs and ensure Emma can take full advantage of this invaluable opportunity.
If you would like to contribute or learn more about how you can support Emma’s journey to the FBLA National Leadership Conference, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]. We are grateful for any level of support and will gladly acknowledge contributors in our school’s social media or at upcoming events.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to invest in the future of one of our students.
Sincerely,
Nathan Pruett

Second, we had NC seniors Ally Scott and Emma LaBrot singing the National Anthem at the opening ceremonies. They sang beautifully and did a fantastic job.
Last, Emma LaBrot and Thai Moore medaled and qualified for Nationals in their events!!

Thai Moore - 2nd place in state in Journalism (National Qualifying)
Both girls also competed as a team in Entrepreneurship and placed 5th narrowly missing National Competition by one place!

A big thank you to Scott Griffin of Griffin Automotive and Collision for coming in to speak with our students last week. His knowledge of automobiles was overshadowed by his intense desire to make the people around him better. Mr. Griffin shared life lessons and learned truths that have helped him along the way to be a boss, entrepreneur, family man, and helper. Thanks so much for sharing your history and the day with us!!
