Bolingbrook is turning 50 this year. It was in 1965 that a few hundred voters went to the polls to officially create the municipality of Bolingbrook. It was just five years earlier that the first modern subdivision was laid out and the first model homes opened to eager young homebuyers just off old Rt. 66.
