🏛️ This week on Capitol Hill, NABIP met with members of the Senate Finance Committee, Senate HELP Committee, Senate Special Committee on Aging, and U.S. Senator Mike Rounds' office to discuss key healthcare priorities impacting agents, brokers, and consumers.
Conversations focused on:
✔️ The growing “silver tsunami” impacting the insurance workforce
✔️ Supporting the next generation of licensed professionals
✔️ Affordability solutions in the employer and Medicare markets
✔️ Addressing anti-competitive steering and billing practices
We also discussed the importance of policies like Senator Rounds’ Independent Brokers Time Act, which would ensure licensed agents and brokers are regulated separately from bad actors.
NABIP remains committed to advocating for stronger consumer protections, affordability, and the trusted role of licensed agents and brokers.
