It's official--Boise Bicycle Project is GOING SOLAR thanks to Everybody Solar, BBP staff, in-kind donors, grant makers like Clif Bar, and individual donors in from Boise to the Bay Area!

This Empowered Solar crew loves our bikes and as longtime members, volunteers, and supporters of BBP, this investment is close to our hearts. BBP has made an enormous impact in Boise; with free energy from the sun, soon they'll have even more in the budget to touch many more lives.

It is an honor to be a part of this project and humbling to work with people around the globe, who committed for almost a year and a half to making this installation a reality in our town.

We are happy to report that our partners Empowered Solar, who are donating their installation, picked up donated Clenara solar panels on Friday to bring solar to Boise Bicycle Project. We are now waiting on permits to get the installation started.

A lot of positive energy in City Hall this week! Boise City Council, staff, residents, and business community members convened in support of a plan for a responsible energy future. Thank you to City Council and especially to those who positioned our leaders to take this informed step towards long-term prosperity.

Our wonderful Empowered Solar customers have been leading the way individually with residential and commercial installations for year; now even bigger players are acknowledging the need for the clean energy transition and demonstrating the feasibility on a larger scale.

Boise City Council backs renewable energy plan The plan they approved officially establishes a community-wide goal of 100 percent renewable electricity by 2035.
