Growing up in SB + parents who are alumni, this sign and it’s meaning, has been my favorite for years.
It’s been used by Notre Dame since at least 1986 when Holtz had a new sign painted by and placed it in a stairwell between the home team locker room and the tunnel to the field of the Fighting Irish stadium.

🌟The tradition of hitting the sign on the way out was started by Holtz as a way to remind players to remain humble, grateful and to give it their all!!! 🌟Try not to dwell on yesterday or what might happen tomorrow, but focus on today! Whether you’re at the office, your home, in the field or on a field... get out there and !!! 🌟
