This work background and the knowledge she gained during that time, gave her the ability to understand insurance policies and the rights of policyholders. Karen's experience includes adjusting insurance claim losses for residential and commercial property owners caused by fire, water damage, hurricane, floods and sinkhole claims. Karen is a Certified Property Insurance Appraiser & Umpire (CPAU) for insurance claim disputes. She is a member of the Insurance Appraisal & Umpire Association (IAUA) and Windstorm Insurance Network Karen is a proud member and also serves as the Past President of the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (FAPIA) and is the President of the FAPIA Foundation. Scott has over 40 years of experience with insurance property claims. Additionally, Scott previously owned a disaster restoration company that specialized in professionally cleaning residential and commercial properties after floods, fires and smoke damage. He was approved to perform work for numerous insurance companies in Connecticut as a preferred vendor. Scott also owned a company that specialized in cleaning contaminated air duct systems and during that time obtained an Indoor Air Cleaning Specialist Certification. He is a member of the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters and is a Certified Property Appraiser & Umpire (CPAU) for insurance claim disputes. He is a member of the Insurance Appraisal & Umpire Association (IAUA) and the Windstorm Insurance Network.
