Why does God lay out boundary lines for us in His Word? To keep us from having fun? To ruin our lives? NOPE!
He does it for our good, to protect us from the devastating consequences of sin.

CONSIDER: God is both eternal (He has been around forever, so He has seen it all) and omniscient (He knows all things, so He knows what will destroy your life and what will bless it). He is also all-loving, so He cares about your well-being.

Therefore, it logically follows that the boundaries He has laid out for you in His Word are perfect and will keep you from much sin and all its terrible effects IF YOU STAY WITHIN THOSE BOUNDARY LINES.

So make sure you’re studying the Word daily, finding out what those boundaries are, and be diligent (through prayer and leaning on the Spirit) to walk within those wonderful boundaries.
