Nobody tells you this part: getting better at your job can feel lonely.
As you learn more, you start noticing things you didn't notice before. You ask different questions and see connections you used to miss. Sometimes that changes the way you think about your work.
Then you look around and realize not many people are talking about the same things you are. The place that once felt comfortable doesn't quite fit anymore.
For a long time, I thought that meant I should stop pushing myself. I told myself that good enough was enough.
I was wrong.
The loneliness wasn't a sign that I'd gone too far. It was a sign that I hadn't found my people yet.
If you're in that space right now, I want you to know there are more of us in that space than you think.
Where are you today? Do you feel comfortable where you are, or are you looking for people who think the way you do?

Tip #3 is one I wish I learned sooner!
Some of the most important clinical lessons aren't found in a textbook.
The more you understand the connections between feeding, airway, oral function, and myofunctional development, the more confident you'll feel in your evaluations and treatment plans.
