During the introductory press conference for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pat Riley had the entire room laughing when he paused to make sure he gave Bam Adebayo his flowers.

Riley jokingly referenced Bam’s highly publicized Las Vegas dustup with former teammate Tyler Herro, saying:

"I was remiss in mentioning one guy... and I don’t want to get knocked out!" 😂🥊

But then Riley got serious, calling Bam "basically the foundation of this organization" since he arrived in 2019. He also credited Bam with being the absolute driving force in building a relationship with Giannis and convincing the front office that this was the path to a championship.
