and I was pregnant with my first child. A fellow nurse who worked labor and delivery told me she was planning to deliver at a birth center using a technique called Hypnobabies. I was so intrigued, and thought she was so brave to venture beyond the expectation that she would have her baby in the hospital where she worked. So I explored the Hypnobabies website and felt very aligned with the mission statement as well as the belief that childbirth is an easy, natural process that women are perfectly designed for. Hypnobabies helped me replace my doubts and fears with confidence and giddy excitement at the prospect of birthing my baby. After using Hypnobabies for the birth of my son, I felt a real calling to share it with as many women who are willing to accept a new paradigm of comfortable, fearless childbirth. It is my honor to bring Hypnobabies to South Florida, and I look forward to serving the community. Additionally, I am a volunteer Resource Coordinator for Postpartum Support International (PSI) for the Broward County area. I connect moms and families to local services offering support for postpartum depression, anxiety, and other postpartum mood disorders. Hypnobabies is a very successful 6 week, 3-hours per week, complete childbirth education course that was adapted with permission from Gerald Kein’s “Painless Childbirth Program” techniques rather than using simple relaxation, breathing or guided imagery. This allows our Hypno-Moms to enjoy “eyes-open childbirth hypnosis”, easily remaining deeply in hypnosis while walking, talking and changing positions; being as mobile as they would like to be during childbirth. Hypnobabies is well-known for helping women to create much shorter, easier and more comfortable labors, making childbirth the joyful experience it was meant to be.
