WGCU recently spotlighted Senior Resource Group’s annual Tour de Zest, a friendly wellness competition among SRG communities across the country.
The health reporter visited The Carlisle Naples to see the competition in action and spoke with residents, including one who leads a fitness class for his neighbors.
Although the community didn’t take the top spot, the final ranking was only part of the story. Residents and team members stayed active, encouraged one another and worked toward a shared goal.
Thank you to WGCU for sharing the story!

Our vice president, Kerry Phillips, recently joined local professionals at a First Thursday networking event. It was a great opportunity to build new connections and learn more about the people and organizations serving older adults throughout Central Florida.

A photo shows us what happened. The caption should tell us why it mattered.
Instead of simply writing, “Residents enjoyed an afternoon of painting,” give readers something the photo cannot:
Was someone trying watercolor for the first time? Did a resident with a lifelong love of art lead the class? Did the activity bring back a meaningful memory?
That small piece of context can turn an ordinary social media update into a story that helps families understand the people and experiences that shape life in your community.
