What a wonderful evening! 🎶 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Summer Sips & Sounds concert of the season. Together with Festival of the Arts BOCA, we were delighted to welcome our community for an evening of live music, connection, and celebration of America’s 250th.

A special thank you to our reception sponsors, St. Andrews Country Club and Cristino Chocolates, for helping make the evening wonderful, and to MuHuGo for its engaging America 250 activation, inviting guests to share their hopes for the future as we commemorate our nation’s milestone anniversary.

We’re already looking forward to the next Summer Sips & Sounds concert on August 20 and hope you’ll join us for another memorable evening. Visit www.BocaHistory.org for more information and to purchase tickets.

We’re proud to share that our traveling exhibit, Sentimental Journey: Boca Raton During World War II, is now on display at the Community Center as part of the America 250 commemoration during the month of July. Check it out! 🇺🇸

Featuring historic photographs, aerial views of the Boca Raton Army Air Field, and artifacts from the WWII era, the exhibit tells the story of how the war forever changed our community—from German U-boats lurking just off our coastline and nightly blackout drills to the establishment of the Army Air Corps’ airborne radar training base that brought thousands of servicemen and women to Boca Raton.

The exhibit also explores the lasting legacy of the wartime base, whose former runways would later become the home of Florida Atlantic University and the Boca Raton Airport.
If you’re at the Community Center this month, we invite you to stop by and discover this remarkable chapter of Boca Raton’s history.
