A typical candidate is an underprivileged athlete that needs training, tutoring, and mentoring but does not have the financial means, or social structure, to acquire those services. First responders and military veterans selected must have documented comorbidities or some level of a physical disability that would put them at a high risk of a severe diseased state or mental illness.
