Wishing all the dads in our community a Happy Father’s Day filled with family, laughter, and well deserved appreciation.

Today, we join people across Illinois and across the nation in honoring Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and recognizes the resilience, perseverance, and contributions of African Americans throughout our nation’s history.

As we reflect on this important day, may we continue striving toward the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity for all.
